*Values in (parenthesis) are for GAZ-67 which are different from GAZ-67B.
During 1943-1944, GAZ-67 was made, and 1944-1953 GAZ-67B was made. 92,843 of these cars were made, but only 4,851 of them during the 1943-1945 period. They are entirely based on GAZ-64 and are almost identical. The war time GAZ-67B has radiator grill made up of welded metal poles, while the post-war GAZ-67B has grill made of one stamped metal sheet. This car was created in very short time. GAZ-67B differs from GAZ-67 by having wider track. There were different modifications of GAZ-67 such as hard-top GAZ-67-420 (those were made only in 1944), amphibia GAZ-011 (1945), etc... GAZ-67B was an immediate predecessor of GAZ-69. During the Second World War this GAZ jeep was used side by side with American Willys MB (43 KB [7]). Russian army commanders quickly recognized, however, with the appearance of the Lend-Lease act that Willys were in some ways superior to GAZ-67B.
