Experimental engine 404 was used for Moskvich-404-Sport in 1954. Only one such car was made and it was based on mechanisms of Moskvich-400 and Moskvich-403E. In 1959 a forcified 407 engine was placed on this car. Also, this won 3 championships of the USSR in 1957-1959.
